
Seriously, it's 2008 and we're all sick to the back teeth of being sold to. Every time we open the post in the morning there is a bank, a credit company trying to sell us loans that we don't need.
The people in the world in 2008 are more sensitive than ever when it comes to sales pitches. Email is it's own worst enemy - it's fast, it sends fast, it's received fast and it's DELETED fast.
In the world today selling does NOT work. Contacting people to sell to them is a loser's game, the return is minimal. SO what do we do?
Instead of going out there and shouting from the rooftops about our businesses, we have to position ourselves so that when people are looking for what we offer, that we are the people they choose to spend their time and money with. That is the massive difference in the way the world of marketing is going today. Instead of selling, make sure that when someone is looking for you that:
1. They can find you
2. Once they found you, they instantly know that it is you they must do business with.
